QUALITY & FOOD SAFETY

Food safety comes first

Organic agriculture is our foundation. Food safety is our first responsibility.

Every ingredient we supply becomes part of a product that people eat. That responsibility guides how we work with producers, evaluate ingredients, and support our customers. Our approach to quality rests on four pillars: food safety, organic integrity, heavy metals, and sustainability.

Our four quality pillars

Food safety

Safe ingredients begin with understanding where they come from and how they are grown, processed, stored, and transported.

Our quality assurance team works with suppliers and customers to review product specifications, food safety documentation, and relevant testing requirements. We consider the risks associated with each ingredient and its supply chain, including microbiological, chemical, and physical hazards.

Food safety requires ongoing attention, clear communication, and the willingness to address concerns throughout the supply relationship.

Organic integrity

Our business is dedicated to certified organic ingredients. Maintaining that integrity means looking beyond a certificate to the traceability and documentation that connect an ingredient to its source.

We work with our supply partners to support organic compliance from origin through delivery, helping customers maintain confidence in the ingredients they use.

Heavy metals

Heavy metals are an important part of food safety and deserve particular attention in ingredients such as cocoa. Naturally occurring levels can vary by growing region, soil conditions, and product.

Our approach considers origin, testing documentation, customer specifications, and destination-market requirements. Understanding these differences helps us make informed sourcing decisions and identify suitable ingredients for our customers.

Sustainability

We believe ingredient sourcing should contribute to the long-term health of agricultural communities and the land they depend on.

Certified organic agriculture is our starting point. Through lasting producer relationships and selected Fairtrade, Rainforest Alliance, and Regenerative Organic Certified supply programs, we support farming practices and partnerships that strengthen the future of organic agriculture.
