Caeli first became interested in organics in high school when she founded the Gardening and Green club at her school, this passion further blossomed in college when she started to really dig into gardening and studied Environmental Science.
Her passion for organic farming grew into a career when she worked at CCOF shortly after graduation and also became a Monterey Bay Master Gardener. She then found herself working in the organic food industry, mainly focused on organic cocoa derivatives, where she managed key customers and the US cocoa program for 11.5 years. She continues her work in organic cocoa at Terra Nostra and now has a focus in regenerative agriculture.
Caeli now lives in Truckee, CA where you can find her hiking with her dog, playing co-ed softball, gardening, baking with her apples from her backyard trees in the summer or skiing or snow shoeing in the winter. Her love for (some say obsession of) organic gardening, bee keeping, seed savings helped shape her continued passion in her work in cocoa and she will happily talk your ear off about gardening or the cocoa market any day!
